John Ivil has been employed at the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) - previously the Ministry of Economic Development - since November 2009.
John is the General Manager, New Zealand Government Procurement and is responsible for procurement policy, capability and capacity development, collaborative procurement (including all-of-government contracts) and the establishment of a commercial pool of procurement resources to assist government agencies.
John holds a Master’s Degree in Management Studies from the University of NSW, majoring in Project Management.
