To further strengthen its quality assurance systems, the Procurement Service Department of Budget and Management (PS - DBM), through its Inspection Division, recently completed a two batch technical visit to the Department of Science and Technology Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST- ITDI) on July 16 and 17, 2025.
The first batch was accompanied by PS DBM Operations Office Director Samantha Grace E. Moscoso, who joined the team in exploring the Institute’s laboratory operations and technical procedures. During the visit, PS DBM personnel were given an in depth tour of DOST- ITDI’s testing facilities and observed live demonstrations of equipment evaluation processes led by the Institute’s technical specialists.
Beyond enhancing technical familiarity, the activity also opened avenues for collaboration with DOST- ITDI on the integration of green specifications in the procurement of common-use supplies and equipment (CSE). The dialogue explored how existing laboratory capabilities and environmental testing protocols can support PS DBM’s sustainability initiatives.
This initiative reflects PS DBM’s sustained commitment to uphold the highest standards of quality and environmental responsibility in public procurement—through continuous learning, strategic partnerships, and evidence- based approaches.
